This was not an overnight thing, oh no, this was far better than that. It was a gradual realisation that despite the size of our social group, we were both sub-consciously gravitating towards each other.
Maybe it started in September, 2005 when I invited Ildiko to a Dubliners concert in Ljubljana, Slovenia, but on a day trip to Izola (Slovenia) in November, just the two of us…. we just knew.
A trip to Paris in December soon followed…
But it was Ildiko’s first trip to Ireland in February, 2006 that nailed it…
So what’s a man to do when he knows he’s met ‘the one’?
He proposes of course and we chose this ‘new style’ Claddagh ring together while we were still in Ireland…
But after a 15 year engagement, it was time for this to come to a happy end…
